India Passport Photos, Tampa

Specifications for India's passport photos make them among the smallest of all worldly passport photos. At only 3.5cm x 3.5cm, they are certainly the smallest we've encountered. Indian passport specs require only two photos, yet most will request more (4-8). Newsome's Studio is happy to accommodate this request and can deliver them on the spot.

If you're a citizen of India and need to update or renew your Indian passport photo, Visa, Green Card, OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) photo while in Tampa, contact the "go to" studio for ALL foreign passport photo needs. 10-Year Canadian Passport Photos Available

Secure, Convenient 10-Year ePassport Available Now

Calgary, July 2, 2013 — Canada's new and more secure 10-year ePassport is now available to Canadians, Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism Minister Jason Kenney announced today.
The new, 10-year ePassport provides more convenience for Canadians, and facilitates safe, secure travel which, in turn, helps create jobs, growth and long-term prosperity for Canadians, said Minister Kenney. The Canadian passport is not only a privilege of citizenship, but a reflection of the rights and responsibilities of citizenship.

ePassports are the international norm in travel documents. They contain technologically-advanced features, including an embedded electronic chip, to prevent fraud. The chip stores the same personal information as that which is recorded on the second page of the passport (except for the signature) as well as a photo and a digital security feature that proves that the passport was issued by the Government of Canada. To combat fraud, once the personal information is stored on the chip, it cannot be modified without invalidating the passport.

Tampa Passport Photo Needs are on the Increase

In 2012, there were over 13.1 million US passports issued, up from 12.6 million in 2011. Quite a number of them (joking just a bit here), went to Newsome's Studio of Photography in Carrollwood for their passport picture. Newsome's Studio, located in Cypress Point Office Park at 10012 N. Dale Mabry Hwy. in Tampa has been providing US travelers and foreigners alike, with incredibly high quality passport photos, guaranteed to pass muster with the 'reject stamp wielding goblins' at the passport office.

Why waste time and money on a photo that will likely be sent right back to you with a rejection letter. We've seen hundreds of them. People bring them in, along with the list of what's wrong with the image. Usually, it's out of focus, printed on the wrong paper, over exposed, and when it comes to passports from a foreign country... it ALWAYS the wrong size. US is pretty standard as a 2x2 inch, but nearly every other country on the planet measures by the metric system, and they all have different specs for their passport photos.

Go to Newsome's Studio, where experience with foreign passports are a common practice and our record of images being accepted is near perfect (notice I said "near?" We had a Canadian photo rejected once because they said she looked like she was smiling. She wasn't smiling, but she did have a dimple. Ask me how I resolved that and I'll knock $3 off your passport photo!).

Canadian Passport Photos, Tampa

Finding someone who can provide a proper Canadian passport photo in Tampa is not as easy as you might think. Most drug stores will/can only supply you with a 2x2 inch image, but the Canadian passport photo is measured in millimeters (50mmx70mm) which translates roughly to 2x2 3/4 inches. The head size is also very specific for the Canadian passport photo and if incorrect, can cause your passport to be rejected, slowing down your application/renewal process, and possibly costing you more money than necessary.

To insure your passport photo is correct, call Tampa's expert in foreign passport photos, Newsome's Studio of Photography, Inc., located at 10012 N. Dale Mabry Hwy, Tampa (Carrollowood in Cypress Point Office Park).

Call 813-968-2810 for an appointment for fast (less than ten minutes), and correct Canadian passport photos.

Egyptian Passport Photos, Tampa

The passport photo requirements for an Egyptian passport are very unique. While most European countries require a 35x45mm, and many Middle Eastern countries are even smaller (India is 35x35mm), Egypt's is larger at 40x60mm. And while most countries require only two images, Egypt requires three.

This is not a problem for Newsome's Studio of Photography in Carrollwood. Located at 10012 N. Dale Mabry Hwy in Tampa, Newsome's Studio has been providing high quality passport photos for all foreign countries for many years now. If you are from Egypt, and needing to update your passport photo while in Tampa, you can trust Newsome's Studio for fast, affordable, but most of all - CORRECT images that are guaranteed to pass muster regardless of which country you need your image for.

Chinese Passport Photos in Tampa

Every country has their own specifications for passport photos. While the US measures theirs in inches (2x2), 99% of the rest of the planet measures them in millimeters. Most European passports are 35x45mm, but a Chinese passport photo is 33x48mm, far different than all the others.

To be certain you are sending them the correct size for a Chinese passport photo, contact Newsome's Studio of Photography in Carrollwood, located at 10012 N. Dale Mabry Hwy (Cypress Point Office Park). All photography is by appointment, and guaranteed to pass muster, regardless of which country it's for.

US Passport Photos, Tampa

You get a phone call. It's your sister in England. She's getting married in London in six weeks, you're the Maid of Honor! Awesome. Where is your passport? When was the last time you used it? How old IS that passport, and how long are they good for? Well, if it's a US passport, it's good for ten years. If you're going to have a renew it, it can take weeks - IF everything passes muster (paperwork and photograph) with the US Passport office.

Don't trust your passport photo to your eleven year old with an iPhone, or even your neighbor who took a college course in photography. Believe me, the number one reason passport applications are rejected is because the passport photo does not conform to the required specifications.

For US passport photos in Tampa, contact Tampa's most trusted professional photography studio, Newsome's Studio of Photography in Carrollwood. Located in the heart of Carrollwood in Cypress Point Office Park at 10012 N. Dale Mabry Hwy, Newsome's has been providing quality images to Tampa residents since 1986. They are specialists at all passport photo needs, foreign and domestic.

In less than ten minutes, you will walk out with properly sized, properly lit and exposed, and incredibly sharp images for your US Passport.

UK (British) Passport Photos

British passport photos are pretty much the same size as most other European countries (outter demension anyway). But one big difference that can cause your passport photo to be rejected is the background color. While most European passports require a white background, British passport photos require a light gray or cream colored background. Newsome's Studio of Photography, located at 10012 N. Dale Mabry Hwy in Carrollwood (Cypress Point Office Park) has nearly three decades of experience in providing high quality foreign passport photos and handles at least two to three UK passport photos per week. Call 813-968-2810 for an appointment and get your UK or British passport taken care of today!

European Passport Photos

Random Trivia: The only countries left on the planet - besides the United States of America - that have NOT converted to the metric system are Liberia and Burma.

For all foreign passports photos in all other countries, the size is measured in millimeters. European passport photos are almost (I said "almost") all uniformly the same size - 35x45mm.

Most all drug stores that still offer passport photos are only set up to create passports that conform to US standards (2x2 inches). Ask them for a 35x45 millimeter image and they're likely to send you back to square one (Google). Fortunately, the Walgreens and the AAA office here in Carrollwood have a backup plan - Newsome's Studio of Photography, located at 10012 N. Dale Mabry Hwy in Tampa (Cypress Point Office Park).

Newsome's Studio provides residents from all over the Tampa area with high quality passports, citizenship, immigration, DV Lottery, and visa photos for US as well as any foreign country on the planet, in less than ten minutes!

Popularity of Weapons Permits on the Rise?

Newsome's Studio of Photography has been providing high quality Weapons Permit photos for Tampa residents for years now, but recently has seen an uptick in the number of calls. Whether it's a result of the growing conversation over gun control, or just a coincidence, the fact remains, if you own a gun or are in the market to purchase one, you should follow the letter of the law and get a permit for it. In less than ten minutes, Newsome's Studio can provide two high quality photos for Weapons Permits for only $20.

Located at 10012 N. Dale Mabry Hwy in Carrollwood (Cypress Point Office Park), by appointment only.

NO SMILING in Foreign Passport Photos

"NO SMILING!"

At first, I thought it was odd that smiling was not allowed in foreign passport images (it is still allowed in US passport images). Then I heard that many foreign governments are using facial recognition software to catch the bad guys, and they will often scan your passport photo to put it in their system. A smile distorts the face and inhibits the software's ability to find the correct match.

Now the question becomes... if the rest of the world is utilizing this method of making us safer, why isn't the US government doing the same thing? Obviously, there are people waaay smarter than me that might have an acceptable answer to that question, I just haven't met them yet (maybe someone can answer it here for me).

One way or the other, for all my Canadian and European friends needing passport photos, citizenship photos, immigration photos, or DV Lottery photos... NO SMILING!

Bring your unhappy face to Newsome's Studio of Photography in Cypress Point Office Park in Carrollwood (Tampa) and we'll promise not to make you laugh!
